Yajaira Gonzalez, a senior at Plano East Senior High School, has devoted her time to community service, leading many high roles within the LULAC organization. Her passion in helping others as well as her dedication have led her to become a part of the Magdaleno Leadership Institute as an advisory member. This young woman plans to attend College in order to pursue advertising; focusing on the more creative aspect of designing. She will also continue to empower youth, and demonstrate to them the power of serving others in order to create a more unified community of Latinos. Yajaira strongly believes one must “Stand up for what you believe in, even if you’re one among the crowd.”
